 SPOTLIGHT: The Santa Fe Opera
The Santa Fe Opera, founded in 1957, has a wide array of education and community outreach programs to make opera accessible and appealing to a broad spectrum of people. Nearly 1,600 performances of 130+ operas have been given at the opera's annual summer festival. With signature programs including the Spring Opera Tour, Student Produced Opera and the Pueblo Opera Program, the Santa Fe Opera reaches over 50,000 children throughout the southwest each year. Use SupportMusic's "Keep Music Education Strong" brochures, available in both English and Spanish, to advocate for public school music programs in your community.
